Scam With Your Scam With Your Friends Playtest Status
This is the access picture as of October 3, 2026. Official playtest access is not distributed as a public key list.
The Steam page sends players to Discord for playtest updates and for finding teammates. That is the official path. A download button on an unrelated site, a pasted key in a comment, or a generator is not.
The planned Early Access launch is separate from this test. Even if you never receive playtest access, the store date is still the public plan for the wider release. Follow it on the release date page.

How Playtest Access Works
Access is controlled by the developers through Steam and the channels they name. There is no supported way around that process.
Existing Signup / Batch Access
The signup wave already passed. More than 12,000 people requested access, and the team has been letting players in gradually rather than opening the test to everyone who asked. If you signed up earlier, you are waiting on that batch process. If you never signed up, there is no open form to submit right now.
A closed signup does not mean the test is finished. It means new requests are not being taken. Watch the Steam news feed and the official Discord rather than refreshing unofficial key threads.
Friend Invites
An accepted tester can invite up to three friends. That invite has to come from someone who already has access, inside the official rules. Asking in the Discord for teammates is reasonable. Buying a supposed spare key, or using a code someone cannot show on Steam, is not the invite system.
Three friends is the published cap. It is not a code you can split endlessly, and it is not a public guest pass.
Is There a Scam With Your Friends Key?
People search for a Scam With Your Friends key because they want to play before the public launch. In this case the word key means playtest access, not a list of redeem codes. Steam playtest access is granted to accounts. It is not the same thing as a public coupon page.
There are no official redeem codes to publish here. There is no key generator that creates real access. This site does not sell keys, trade invites, or collect Steam passwords. If a page asks you to log into Steam on a domain that is not Steam, close it.
The planned way onto the full release is the Steam store page when Early Access opens. Until then, the only access paths the developers have described are the closed signup batches and invites from accepted testers.
Is There a Public Demo or Free Download?
Steam currently presents the limited playtest, not a normal public demo that anyone can install. A free-download search usually lands on the same access question. The playtest is not a permanent free version of the game, and the retail release is still planned as a paid Early Access launch once a price exists.
Do not download an executable, a cracked build, or a repack from a third-party file host. The official entries are the Steam page and the Jatater Worldwide game page. Anything else is outside those channels. The price page explains why the game should not be described as free-to-play just because a price has not been posted.
What the $8 Unlimited AI Purchase Actually Is
Jatater Worldwide sells a separate one-time Unlimited AI purchase for US$8, plus applicable taxes shown at checkout. The official terms say it buys unlimited AI access for the Scam With Your Friends playtest only, and only while that playtest service is available. One purchaser covers their lobby. Access is tied to the verified Steam account.
The same terms are explicit about what the charge is not. It is not a subscription. It is not a game key. It is not playtest entry. It is not a purchase of the full game. You must already have played the playtest on the linked Steam account before you can buy it. The full game is stated to include unlimited AI credits, so this $8 option is a playtest-only bridge, not the game itself.
Internet access and the playtest service have to be available for the purchase to matter. Activation questions go to the publisher, including through the official Discord, not to a random seller. Read the terms on the Jatater site before you pay, and use the price guide if you are trying to tell this charge apart from the unannounced retail price.
What You Can Do Now

- Join the official Discord for playtest updates and teammates.
- If a friend was accepted, ask them about an invite. The cap is three friends, and the invite has to follow the official rules.
- Ignore key generators, leaked build links, and anyone selling a playtest key.
