Scam With Your How Much Is Scam With Your Friends?
There is no number to memorize yet. As of October 3, 2026, the store page still does not list a retail cost.
Steam does not currently list a retail price. Regional pricing, discounts, and pre-order bonuses have not been announced.
The planned Early Access window is not a price. It only tells you when a wider launch is currently scheduled. The release date guide covers the October 2026 window and why an exact day is not shown.

What the $8 Unlimited AI Purchase Includes
The figure people keep seeing is real, and it belongs to a different product. Jatater Worldwide lists it at US$8 plus the taxes shown at checkout.
What It Is
It is a one-time purchase of unlimited AI access for the Scam With Your Friends playtest, and only while that playtest service is available. The official terms say one purchaser covers their lobby, and that access is tied to the verified Steam account. You must already have played the playtest on that linked account before you buy it. Internet access and the service itself have to be up.
The full game is stated to include unlimited AI credits. The $8 option is a way for current playtesters to remove the playtest AI limit, not a preview of the Steam price tag.
What It Is Not
It is not a subscription. It is not a game key. It is not playtest entry. It is not a purchase of the full game. Paying $8 does not put Scam With Your Friends in a library that was never accepted into the test, and it does not reserve a retail copy of the game.
If you are not already in the playtest, the charge is not a back door. The access rules are on the playtest key page. Signups are closed, and friend invites are capped at three per accepted tester.
Early Access Price vs Full Release Price
The developers have said they currently expect the price to stay the same from Early Access through the full release. That expectation is not a locked price, because no retail price has been chosen yet. Full-release pricing is not finalized, and the same note says plans can change.
Do not read that as already confirmed that the game will never cost more after Early Access. The fair summary is narrower: the team expects one price across both stages, and they have also said that plan can move. Wishlist the Steam page and wait for the number they actually publish.
A full release around mid-December 2026 remains a target on the Early Access notes. A target month does not set the cost either.
Can You Pre-Order or Buy a Key Now?
Steam does not currently show a retail purchase price, a pre-order button, or an official key to buy. Third-party shops that list a Scam With Your Friends key are not the Steam page and are not the Jatater $8 terms.
The useful action is to wishlist the official Steam page and follow the official Discord for a real announcement. Steam does not currently offer a pre-order, and no discount code has been announced.
How to Know When the Price Is Announced
Those three are the channels that publish the price when it exists. A random clip naming a price is not one of them. The home overview shows the same not-announced status until Steam prints a number.
- Wishlist the game on Steam. The store page is where a retail price would appear.
- Join the Jatater Worldwide Discord for publisher posts.
- Check the official Jatater game page, which is separate from the Unlimited AI checkout.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Scam With Your Friends price?
The retail price has not been announced. Steam currently offers a wishlist instead of a purchase price.
Is Scam With Your Friends free?
It has not been announced as free-to-play. No retail price is listed yet, and there is no public free download of the full game.
Is the game $8?
No. The $8 charge is a one-time Unlimited AI option for the playtest. It is not the retail price of Scam With Your Friends.
Does $8 include a key?
No. The official terms say the purchase is not a game key and not a purchase of the full game.
Does $8 give playtest access?
No. It is not playtest entry. The terms require you to have already played the playtest on the linked Steam account.
Will the price change after Early Access?
The developers currently expect the same price through Early Access and full release, but full-release pricing is not finalized and plans can change. No price is locked because none has been announced.
Can I pre-order it?
Steam does not currently show a pre-order or a retail buy button. Wishlist the official page instead of using an unofficial key shop.
